Stylish Home Office Design

Megan Martin

By:

For the first time in my business journey, we FINALLY got a home with an office space of its own! As soon as I stepped foot in our 4th home, I just KNEW that the big open space at the front of the home would be perfect for a dedicated and stylish home office!

When we put in the contract for this home, we had already began taking steps toward Jeremy leaving his very comfortable job. We needed a space we could both focus on our business adventures (like my website template company and now this one!).

This whole house is filled with the most gorgeous light, including our home office! True to my signature style, I painted the walls in my favorite white shade (we use Snowbound by Sherwin-WIlliams). I moved our bold and brightly patterned rug from our master to this room to anchor the space and opted for white on white furniture plus a pop of pink with our painted bench!

I originally planned to hang curtains and nix the brown blinds, but I ended up liking the window as is. The blinds add an unexpected touch of texture and the window shape is just pretty on its own.

I get asked all the time on Insta stories where we got our giant whiteboard from. I told J I was thinking a whiteboard would be a fun idea for us to brainstorm ideas and man did he deliver!

He found the biggest whiteboard you could imagine from a brand called Quartet that you can snag on Amazon. They come in multiple sizes. We ended up with the 8 footer! Our whiteboard wall is the first thing a guest sees when they walk in the front door, so we wanted it to make a statement. Turns out, we fill it up easily! Jeremy and I use it all the time in our work and the kids love to draw and play school with it too. A family win!
